The second bedroom was inspired by a harbor. The company really loved the idea of a bed in a boat and recommended every store try to find an old boat to use. This was, of course, much easier said than done, so I ended up building a boat—out of cardboard! I’m amazed it came out as well as it did.

There were some some doors hanging around from a previous display so I taught my intern how to paint them so they looked weathered and then mounted them horizontally on the wall.
