For the walls I bought a bunch of mirrors from Home Depot and created patterned "tiles." I used contact paper to create the design, then painted the mirrors with a combination of paint, glue, and sand, which added a beachy texture. Once they were dry, I peeled off the contact paper to reveal slivers of the mirror. Once I mounted them on the wall, the bit of mirror gave a shimmery effect as you moved through the space.
