One of my interns had the thankless task of spending days creating "tape sheets" for me. We went through rolls and rolls of masking tape & packing tape. I created a really large stencil that I laid over the tape sheets and spray painted in various blacks and greys. Then I cut out the "lace" in pretty shapes and tacked it to the wall in all different combinations.
