Some of the longer shelves required a center cutout (for structural reasons). I found this great textured wallpaper at a thrift store that I cut up and glued onto the wood to add some fancy detailing...it looks like composition ornament but it's foamy to the touch. Once I painted over it, no one could tell it wasn't the real thing!
